Bilingual subtitles

AI can write down what you say in a video and translate it, so the same clip reaches Vietnamese and foreign viewers.

Many people watch videos with the sound off, and tourists or expats may not follow fast Vietnamese. Subtitles in Vietnamese and English widen your audience with the same footage.

Most video editing apps can now create subtitles automatically by listening to your voice. They make mistakes with dishes, place names, dialects and background noise, so read every line before you publish.

For the English line, paste your corrected Vietnamese subtitles into a chatbot and ask for a natural translation that keeps each line short. Tell it what your shop sells so it uses the right words, and keep names of dishes like phở or bánh xèo as they are.

If you can, ask a friend who speaks the language to watch it once. Small errors in a price, an address or an opening time cause real problems, so check those first.

Do it now

Subtitle one short video

  1. 1. Make automatic Vietnamese subtitles for a short video in your editing app.
  2. 2. Fix every wrong word, especially names, prices and places.
  3. 3. Copy the subtitle text into a chatbot with the prompt below.
  4. 4. Add the English lines under the Vietnamese ones and watch it once on your phone.
Translate these Vietnamese video subtitles into natural, simple English for tourists. Keep the same number of lines and keep each line short enough to read in two seconds. Keep Vietnamese dish and place names as they are, and add a short English hint in brackets the first time each appears. My shop sells [WHAT YOU SELL]. Subtitles: [PASTE LINES].
