Lesson 266 · 4 min
Pricing for profit
AI can walk you through what one item really costs you, so your price leaves something in your pocket.

Many owners price by looking at the shop next door. That can hide a loss. A cup of milk tea that sells for 30,000 dong might use 11,000 dong of ingredients and 2,000 dong for the cup, straw and seal. That looks fine until you add rent, electricity, wages and app fees.
Share your monthly fixed costs and how many items you sell in a month, and ask a chatbot to spread those costs over each item. If rent and wages come to 24 million dong and you sell 3,000 cups, that is 8,000 dong per cup on top of ingredients.
Delivery apps take a share of each order, so ask the chatbot to work out your profit for in-shop sales and for app sales separately. Use the fee in your own contract, since rates differ.
The chatbot's maths still needs a check, and it does not know your street. Use its numbers as a starting point, compare with what your customers will pay, then decide the price yourself.
Do it now
Find the real cost of your best seller
