Why the same question gets different answers
Chatbot answers change because of built-in randomness, and because the model behind the app gets updated or swapped over time.

Ask the same question twice and you may get two different replies. That is by design. When the model picks each next word, it usually adds a bit of chance instead of always choosing the single top option, which keeps writing from sounding robotic. The setting that controls this is called temperature.
Answers also change over weeks and months. Companies regularly release new model versions, retire old ones and tweak the hidden instructions the app sends. The name on the app may stay the same while the model underneath is newer.
Your own context matters too. Earlier messages in the chat, files you attached, memory features and even the wording of your question all shift the result.
So treat a single answer as one draft. For anything important, ask again, compare, and check the facts yourself.
Do it now
Run the same question three times
- 1. Open three new chats with the same chatbot.
- 2. Paste the prompt below into each one.
- 3. Compare the three answers. Which parts stay the same? Those are the more reliable parts.
Give me 3 tips for remembering people's names after meeting them. One sentence each.
