A homestay welcome guide for foreign guests

A homestay host can use AI to write one friendly welcome guide that answers most guest questions before they are asked.

Homestay guests from abroad tend to ask the same things: the Wi-Fi password, how to use the water heater, where to eat nearby, how to get a Grab, what time the gate is locked, and whether tap water is safe to drink.

Write the answers once in Vietnamese, in your own words, then ask a chatbot to turn them into a warm, well-organised guide in English and any other language your guests use. Send it on WhatsApp or Zalo the day before they arrive.

Ask the AI to add a few lines of local manners too, like taking shoes off indoors or how to greet your parents. Keep these true to your family.

Do not put the house address and door code in a public post. Send private details only to booked guests, and change the code from time to time.

Do it now

Draft your welcome guide

  1. 1. Write ten quick facts about your homestay in Vietnamese.
  2. 2. Paste them into a chatbot with the prompt below.
  3. 3. Read the English version aloud and fix anything that is not quite right about your home.
I run a small homestay in [PLACE], Vietnam. Turn these notes into a friendly one-page welcome guide in English, with short headings: arrival, Wi-Fi, house rules, hot water, food nearby, getting around, emergencies. Notes: [YOUR NOTES]. Use only what is in my notes and do not add places or prices I did not mention.

Quick check

Where should the homestay's door code go?
