Personal income tax paperwork, explained

AI can explain tax words like annual finalisation and family deductions in plain language, but the official tax authority sets the rules and the numbers.

Tax forms are full of words most people meet once a year: annual finalisation (quyết toán), taxable income, family deduction, dependants. A chatbot is a patient teacher for these terms and can walk you through what a form is asking.

Rules and figures change. Deduction amounts, thresholds and deadlines get updated, and a model only knows what was in its training data up to its knowledge cutoff. It may also mix up rules from another country or state an old figure with confidence.

So use AI for understanding and questions, and get the facts from official places: the tax authority's official website and app, the guidance on your forms, and your company's HR or accounting team, who often handle finalisation for employees.

Keep your details out of the chat. Never paste your tax code together with your ID number, salary slips with your name, or your bank account. Ask in general terms, such as "I have one salary and one dependent child", and you will get the same explanation.

Decode your tax paperwork

  1. 1. Pick one form or letter you find confusing and note the words you do not understand.
  2. 2. Ask the prompt below, describing your situation without names or ID numbers.
  3. 3. Check every figure and deadline on the tax authority's official website or app, or with your HR team.
Explain these personal income tax terms in Vietnam in simple language, with a small example for each: annual finalisation, taxable income, family deduction, dependant. My situation in general terms: [e.g. one salary, one child]. Tell me which questions I should ask my HR team. Do not give me exact figures or deadlines; tell me where to check them officially instead.
