Lesson 302 · 3 min
Build an emergency fund with AI
An emergency fund is money set aside for surprises, and AI can help you work out a target and a monthly plan you can actually keep.

A broken motorbike, a hospital visit, a month without work. Without savings, these push people toward quick loans with heavy fees. A small cushion of cash turns a crisis into an inconvenience.
A common guideline is to save enough to cover a few months of essential costs: rent, food, electricity and water, school fees, transport, loan repayments. It is a rule of thumb. Someone with a steady salary may need less than a freelancer or a family with one income.
AI is good at the boring arithmetic. Give it your essential monthly costs and what you can spare each month, and it can set a target, split it into steps, and show how long each step takes. It can also suggest small cuts, which you judge for yourself.
Keep the fund somewhere safe and easy to reach, such as a separate savings account at a licensed bank. Skip anything promising high returns for emergency money, and check current account terms on the bank's official website or app.
