Lesson 241 · 2 min
AI behind the pharmacy counter
A pharmacy can use AI for signs, stock lists and clear wording, while every question about medicine stays with the pharmacist.

A small pharmacy has plenty of paperwork that has nothing to do with medical judgement: opening hours, a notice about the new card payment machine, a reorder list for the supplier, a polite reply on Zalo saying the shop is closed for Tết.
These are good jobs for a chatbot. Ask it to rewrite a cramped hand-written sign in large, plain words, or to turn a stock count into a reorder list sorted by supplier.
Keep AI away from doses, drug combinations, symptoms and what to take. Chatbots can sound sure and still be wrong, and a wrong answer about medicine can hurt someone. Those questions belong to the pharmacist on duty or a doctor.
Never paste a customer's name, phone number or prescription into a public chatbot. Work with the shop's own information, like product names and quantities.
Do it now
Rewrite one shop notice
- 1. Pick a notice the shop actually needs, such as opening hours or a holiday closing.
- 2. Paste the facts into a chatbot with the prompt below.
- 3. Check every time and date yourself before you print it.
Write a short notice for a small pharmacy in Vietnam, in Vietnamese and simple English. Facts: [OPENING HOURS / HOLIDAY DATES / NEW PAYMENT METHOD]. Use large, plain words that older customers can read easily. Do not mention any medicine or health advice.
