Lesson 261 · 3 min

Reading your channel numbers

A screenshot of your video stats plus one good question to AI tells you which videos to make more of.

TikTok, YouTube and Facebook all give you a stats page for each video. Most shop owners look at views and stop there. The more useful numbers are how long people watched, where they dropped off, and how many came back or followed.

You can take a screenshot of those stats and paste it into a chatbot that reads images. Ask it to explain each number in plain words and to point out the moment most viewers left.

Compare like with like. A video about your new bánh tráng trộn flavour and a video of the shop at closing time are different kinds of posts, so compare each with others of its own kind.

AI can misread a number on a blurry screenshot, so check any figure it quotes against the screen. Then change one thing in the next video, such as a shorter opening, and see if the number moves.

Do it now

Get one lesson from your last five videos

  1. 1. Open the stats page for your last five videos and take a screenshot of each.
  2. 2. Paste them into a chatbot that accepts images, with the prompt below.
  3. 3. Check two numbers it quotes against your screen, then plan one change for your next video.
These are stats screenshots from my last 5 videos on [TikTok / YouTube / Facebook]. I run a [TYPE OF SHOP] in [CITY]. Explain each number in plain words, tell me which video held viewers longest and where people usually stopped watching, and suggest one change to test in my next video. Quote the numbers you read so I can check them.
