A simple loyalty program

A stamp card or a Zalo list can bring regulars back, and AI helps you design one you can afford.

Big chains have apps with points. A small shop can do well with a paper card: buy nine coffees, get the tenth free. Customers understand it at once, and you can print a hundred cards for very little.

Ask a chatbot to work out what the reward costs you. A free tenth coffee is close to a 10% discount for your most loyal customers. If your margin is thin, a free topping or a small cake might suit you better.

Ask it for three program ideas that fit your shop, with the rules written in one or two plain sentences for the card or a sign by the till. Simple rules mean fewer arguments at the counter.

If you keep a list of customers on Zalo or in a notebook, ask before you add someone and only send messages they asked for. Keep phone numbers in your own records, out of the chatbot.

Design your card

  1. 1. Write down your best seller, its price and its cost.
  2. 2. Use the prompt below to get three ideas with the cost of each.
  3. 3. Pick one, print ten cards, and try it for a month.
I run a [TYPE OF SHOP] in [AREA]. My best seller costs me [COST] and sells for [PRICE]. Suggest 3 simple loyalty programs for regulars (stamp card, small gift, birthday treat, or similar). For each: the rule in one sentence for the card, what it costs me per loyal customer per month, and one way it could be abused and how to prevent it.

Quick check

You offer "buy 9, get the 10th free". Roughly what does that cost you?
