AI for a tailor

A tailor can use AI to keep order records, explain prices and turn a customer's vague idea into clear questions before cutting the cloth.

A tailor's shop runs on orders: who wants an áo dài for a wedding, which shirt needs taking in, which suit must be ready by Friday. A chatbot can design a simple order sheet with measurements, cloth, price, deposit and pickup date.

Customers often arrive with a picture and a feeling: "something like this, but more modest". Describe the request to the AI and ask for questions you should check, such as sleeve length, neckline, lining and fabric weight. Fewer surprises at the fitting.

It can also write clear price messages. For example: "Sewing an áo dài from your fabric, from 350,000 dong, ready in 7 days, deposit 50%". Use your own prices, and say clearly what costs extra.

Measurements are personal data. Keep them in your own book or file, and if you paste them into a chatbot, leave the customer's name and phone number out.

Do it now

Make an order sheet you will actually use

  1. 1. List what you write down for every order today.
  2. 2. Paste it with the prompt below.
  3. 3. Print the sheet or copy it into a spreadsheet and try it on your next three orders.
I am a tailor in [CITY]. Design a one-page order sheet for my shop with: order number, garment, measurements (list the usual ones for [GARMENT]), fabric, price in dong, deposit, fitting date, pickup date and notes. Also give me 6 questions to ask a customer who brings only a photo.

Quick check

A customer shows a photo and says "like this, but nicer". How can AI help most?
