Teachers: feedback comments with AI
AI can help you write specific, kind feedback faster, as long as you set the judgment and keep student details private.

Good feedback is specific, names what works, and gives one clear next step. Writing that for 40 students takes hours. AI can draft the wording once you have decided what to say.
You make the call. Read the work, note two strengths and one thing to improve in a few words, then ask AI to turn your notes into a warm comment the student can understand.
Keep student work anonymous. Remove names and personal details before pasting, and follow your school's rules on what can go into AI tools.
Read each comment before sending. Make sure it matches the actual work and sounds like you. Students notice when every comment sounds the same.
Do it now
Your notes, its wording
- 1. Pick one piece of student work and write three short notes: two strengths, one next step.
- 2. Remove the student's name and any personal details.
- 3. Use the prompt below and edit the result.
Turn my notes into feedback for a grade [GRADE] student. Strengths: [NOTE 1], [NOTE 2]. Next step: [NOTE 3]. Write 3 to 4 short sentences, warm and specific, speaking directly to the student. End with one concrete thing to try next time. Do not add praise I did not mention.
