Job hunting in the AI era

Use AI to tailor each application and prepare well, and keep your story honest, because employers are using AI too.

Applying for jobs has changed on both sides. Candidates use AI to write CVs and letters, and many employers use software to sort applications. Sending the same polished letter to a hundred jobs works less well than before.

Use AI to tailor. Paste the job post and your CV, and ask which of your experiences match best and which keywords from the post you can truthfully include. Then write a short, specific letter for that one job.

Your network matters more when everyone's applications look polished. A message from someone who knows your work can get you noticed.

Be careful with job offers that seem too good, ask for fees or want personal documents early. Scammers use AI too. Check the company through its official website and do not pay to get a job.

Do it now

Tailor one application

  1. 1. Pick one job you would like.
  2. 2. Run the prompt below with the post and your CV.
  3. 3. Write the final letter in your own voice using the AI's notes.
Here is a job post and my CV. 1) Which 3 of my experiences match the post best, and why? 2) Which keywords from the post can I honestly add to my CV? 3) What is missing, and how could I address it? Do not invent experience.

Job post: [PASTE]

CV: [PASTE]
