Reporting scams in Vietnam
Reporting a scam quickly protects you and others, and in Vietnam you can call the police on 113, your bank's official hotline, and report fake sites and spam to the authorities.
01 · The idea
If money was taken or you are being threatened, call 113 or go to the nearest police station with your evidence: screenshots, phone numbers, account numbers and transfer receipts.
If a bank account or card is involved, call the hotline printed on your card or shown in the official app. Ask them to lock what needs locking and to record your report.
Report spam texts to 5656 by sending S, the sender's number and the message, and report scam calls by ringing 156. Both are free. Scam websites and online fraud can be reported to the national cyber safety warning service at canhbao.ncsc.gov.vn. Report fake accounts and ads on the platform where you saw them, too.
Tell family and friends what happened. Scammers often target the same circle, and your warning may stop the next transfer.
