Meeting summaries people actually read
A summary gets read when it opens with decisions and tasks, names who does what by when, and fits on one phone screen.
01 · The idea
Most meeting notes fail because they retell the meeting in order. Busy people only want three things: what was decided, what they have to do, and when it is due.
Ask the AI for that shape. Put decisions first, then a short task list with an owner and a date for each line, then open questions. Everything else can go in a short "background" section at the end, or be left out.
AI summaries of transcripts often miss who agreed to what, or turn a maybe into a promise. Read the task list carefully and fix names and dates before you send it.
Send it the same day. A short, correct summary sent within an hour is worth more than a perfect one sent next week.
