Set up a family password
A secret word your family agrees on in person is a simple test that no voice clone or fake video can pass.
01 · The idea
Fakes are getting better, and you cannot win every guessing game about whether a voice is real. A shared secret moves the test from "does it sound right" to "do they know the word".
Choose something easy to remember but impossible to look up: not a pet's name, a birthday or anything you have posted. A silly phrase from a family trip works well.
Agree on the rule out loud: any call or message asking for money or urgent help must include the word. If the caller cannot say it, you hang up and call back.
Share it only face to face, never in a chat group. Change it if you think someone outside the family has heard it, and remind older relatives every few months.
02 · Think of it like this
It works like the knock pattern children use at a treehouse door. Anyone can knock, but only friends know the rhythm.
03 · Do it now
04 · Quick check

When a relative's voice is a copy
A few seconds of your child's or parent's voice from a video is enough for AI to make a convincing copy, so a familiar voice on the phone proves nothing by itself.

Scam ads with famous doctors
Ads where a well-known doctor or TV health expert praises a miracle supplement are often deepfakes, and the product can be useless or harmful.
