Teach AI in 12 lessons

A free course for lower-secondary classes. Each lesson fits one 45-minute period and comes with objectives, a step-by-step plan, an activity that works without devices or with ManuAI in the browser, a printable worksheet and a three-question exit ticket.

Kit

Every activity works with paper and pens. Where a lesson uses the browser, one projected screen is enough, and nobody needs an account.

Six strands, two lessons each

About the national framework

Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training has issued a framework for AI education content in schools. This course is an independent, free resource from ManuAI, organised around similar broad strands. It has not been reviewed or approved by the Ministry, so please check your school's and your department's current guidance before you use it, and adapt the lessons to your students.

Six strands, two lessons each

The lessons build on each other, but each one also stands alone. Teach them in order over a term, or pick the strand your class needs.

  1. 1What AI is

What counts as AI, and how a chatbot puts its answers together.

  2. 2Data

Where data comes from, and what happens when it is lopsided.

  3. 3How machines learn

Learning from examples and learning from rewards.

  4. 4Using AI tools

Asking AI clearly, and checking what it says.

  5. 5Ethics and safety

    Privacy, fakes and scams.

  6. 6AI in society

Feeds that choose what we see, and the jobs of the future.

The 12 lessons

Open a lesson and press Print. You get the plan for you, then the worksheet and the exit tickets on their own pages for the class.

Before you start

  • Many chatbots set a minimum age, often 13, and some ask for a parent's consent. Run chatbot demos yourself on one screen and follow your school's rules.
  • ManuAI's lessons and games are free and need no sign-up, so students can open them on school computers or at home.
  • Keep student work on paper or in your school's own systems. Students should not type personal details into any AI tool.
